Notice Concerning the Impact of the Tohoku-Pacific Earthquake on FamilyMart Operations (Report No. 2)

First, we would like to express our sincere sympathy to all those affected by the Tohoku-Pacific Earthquake of March 11, 2011. As an update to our report of March 15, we are able to confirm the following.

1. Damage

Immediately after the earthquake, FamilyMart began making emergency relief deliveries and launched a Groupwide initiative to ensure stability of supplies. Due to the destruction of some of our plants and distribution centers mainly in the Tohoku (north Honshu) region, we remain unable to ensure stable supplies, but we are restoring our supply chain day by day.

Of a total of 8,248 FamilyMart stores in Japan (as of the end of February 2011, including area franchisees), about 70 remain closed at present. We are making every effort to resume full operation as soon as possible.

2. Impact on business performance

At the moment, we are assessing the impact of the disaster on business performance. Any likely material impact will be disclosed promptly.
