Launch of support activities by Head Office staff in quake-hit areas

First, we would like to extend our heartfelt sympathy to those affected by the Tohoku-Pacific Earthquake of March 11, 2011.

The Operation Division staff have today launched support operations for resumption of business of stores in disaster-hit areas. From April 1, we will launch an across-the-board effort to return stores to full operation as soon as possible, with mobilization of all Head Office employees regardless of department.

Initiatives:

  • Support for already reopened stores
    Relieving store operators so that they can get some rest
    Dealing with staff shortages, etc.
  • Support for reopening of stores
    Cleaning up inside and outside stores
    Stocking shelves, etc.

Schedule:
From April 1 (Friday): 4 to 5 days (per operation)

Staff deployment
Each team will consist of two Head Office staff and one local supervisor, with ten teams formed per operation
By rotating personnel, we will ensure continuous support.

We earnestly hope that the life returns to normal in the affected areas as quickly as possible.
